I was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. My mother was a single mom who work in a factory standing on her feet all day, making cans, and raising two children on her own. Life was not always easy for us. Money was in short supply. At an early age, I understood the impact of divorce on a family. As I got older I became interested in the law. To me, the Law is a firsthand insight as to how our society works. We are a country of laws. I am passionate about law.

From the beginning of my career as a lawyer, I wanted to help people. I wanted to do family law. When clients with divorce, support or custody problems come in and tell me their stories and the hardships they face, I understand firsthand what they are going through. I am not only enthusiastic about representing my clients, I am passionate about representing clients. Every story matters to me. I see my role as an attorney, as a problem solver. My approach is to try and keep matters as simple as possible. This saves both time and money.

I see litigation as a last resort not a first course of action. Settlement and compromise are the cornerstones of my philosophy. However, I tell my clients not to confuse my willingness to compromise and settle their case with weakness. After many years of practicing law, I know that when you settle a case, the outcome is certain. When a case goes to trial, the outcome is never certain. However, if settlement is not possible, I will not hesitate to go to trial.
